Teodors Paulovics (1912-1971)

Born on April 24, at 1912, in Valka district.

In 1938, Theodore Paulovichs entered to the Art Academy of Latvia and studied landscape in the studio of Professor V. Purvitis. He participated in exhibitions since 1943.

Exhibition in Aluksne, artists of Aluksnes` District, at Leyastsiems in Gulbene, Madona and other places. Teodors Paulovichs in his paintings depicted a unique natural magnificence of Latvia: hills and woods, quiet rivers and bays, lakes shore. This is confirmed by the titles of his paintings - "Aiviekste shore", "Garozhi", "Pullans", "Autumn Mood" and others. The works are painted in bright colors, brave painted brush strokes and realistic picture. His works radiate joy and enthusiasm for the beauty of his native land.

After the war, until 1956, Theodore Paulovics hiding from persecution by local authorities in fellow student pastor Miervalda Kemer in Sarkandaugava in Riga community of the Holy Trinity and elsewhere. He did not have ability to paint.
