Auseklis Bauskenieks (1910-2007)
1930 – 33 – Latvian University, Faculty of Architecture, (drawing and water color workshop of V. Purvitis) and private Studio of J. Bine.
1933 - 1942 – the Arts Academy of Latvia. Graduating with diploma work „On the deck” (guidance of G. Eliass, later - L. Liberts).
Bauskenieks worked as a clerk and bookkeeper in the Department of Roads (1929 – 35).
He worked under force in Germany, Holland, France (1944 – 46). A. Bauskenieks returned in Latvia through internment camp in 1946.
1947 – 48 – decorator at the Literature Museum of Latvia
1949 – 62 – teacher at the Pioneer Palace in Riga
The artist took part at exhibitions since 1942.

1961 – A member of Latvian Artists’ Union.
1992 – The Honorary Member of the Scientist Academy of Latvia.
The paintings are exhibited in Lithuania, Germaine, Russia, USA, France and Australia. His works are at private collections in Latvia and foreign states.
