Studied at Art School of Sigulda. From 1980 to 1987 he studied at the Moscow University of Art, under Professor Grohotov, also, he studied at the studio "Kolorīts" with H. Blunava in Riga. Participated in exhibitions in Latvia and abroad (Moscow, Kaliningrad, Murmansk).
