EDUCATION
2003 Master of Art at the Latvian Academy of Art.
1980 – 1983 Creative studio of the Academy of Art of the USSR in Riga, post-graduate course with professor E.Kalnins.
1971 – 1977 Department of Painting at Latvian Academy of Art.
1963 – 1970 Janis Rozentals Children’s Art School.

Has participated in exhibitions since 1976.
A member of Latvian Artists’ Union since 1980.
A member of International Art Association B 13 (1993 – 1999).

PEDAGOGIC WORK EXPERIENCE
2003 – 2008 associate professor at the Design department of Baltic International Academy.
1999 – 2003 associate professor at Latvian Christian Academy.
1982 – 1999 pedagogue of art subjects at Janis Rozentals’ Children’s Art School.
1977 – 1981 pedagogue of art subjects at Liepaja School of Applied Arts.

AWARDS
1994 Grand Pris of the competition “Baltâ glezna” (“White painting”), Riga.
1982 Diploma and medal of Lithuanian Artists’ Society at the exhibition of Baltic Young artists in Vilnius.
1981 Second prize at 7th All-Union exhibition of young artists in Moscow.
1979 Medal at the 1st fine arts exhibition of young artists of the Baltic republics in Vilnius.

Paintings are in many collections of Latvian and foreign museums, galleries and private collections in Germany, Denmark, Sweden, USA, Estonia, France, Canada, Lithuania, Israel etc.
