Karlis Melbarzdis (1902.2.VIII – 1970.27.II)

Studied in Art academy of Latvia (1922 – 31) and graduated studio of V. Purvitis (Landscape painting studio).

Artist took part in exhibitions since 1933.
Self-exhibition was in Cesis (1934).
Memorial exhibitions were in Riga (1972), Moscow (1974).

K. Melbarzdis was a member of Artists Union (since 1944).
Since 1963 he was rich of merits employee of art in Latvia Republic of Soviet Union.
