Sergei Malishevsky (1956–2020) was a Belarusian painter renowned for his distinctive surrealist style and vivid artistic voice. He was in Moscow to Algirdas Malishevsky, the eminent Belarusian artist and educator whose impact on 20th century Belarusian art cannot be overstated. He graduated from the Minsk Art College and the Belarusian State Academy of Arts. Malishevsky was an active member of both the Belarusian Union of Artists and the International Guild of Painters, as well as a key participant in the Artel creative association.

Sergei Malishevsky’s work was characterized by profound symbolism and meticulous detail. His paintings transport viewers into fantastical worlds rich with metaphors and allegories.
