Zenta Logina (1908-1983) - Textile artist, painter.
Studied at the painting department of Art academy of Latvia (1925-28) and at the studio of R. Suta (1937), complemented her knowledges in Berlin (1937). Took part in exhibitions with paintings since 1932, with textile sketches - since 1953. Member of the Artists` Union since 1945. Painted realistic figurative compositions (The Fishermen, 1939), still-lifes (floral paintings). In the decorative textile sketches used abstract compositions on the theme of cosmos: Space theme (1970), Flame (1977), Dialogue (1983), Only forward (1983). All fabrics by special author's technique were made by Zenta's sister, Eliza Atare. Memorial exhibition in Riga (1987).
