Leo Kokle (1924.3.III – 1964.7.XII, Latvia)
His first art education was at Studio of J. R. Tillbergs (1942, 1944), at Art academy of Latvia, Painting department (1944 – 1948)
Kokle took part in exhibitions since 1943.
Self exhibitions and memory exhibitions: Riga (1964, 1974, 1991, 1994, Jelgava, Bauska, Aluksne (1980), Jurmala, Liepaja, Kuldiga 1984.
Since 1952 member of Artists Union, he was a board member of Artists Union, active in art live, wrote in journals and magazines. Kokle was one from founders of young artist’s exhibition’s tradition.
Leo Kokle worked at all genres, but particular in portraits and still life’s.
