Pavils Glaudans (1915 10 X Kraslava, Latvia – 1968 21 XI Riga, Latvia)

He graduated Art Academy of Latvia, Landscape workshop under guidance of V. Purvitis, with diploma work “The snowbreak” (1944).

Artist took part at exhibitions since 1943.

Solo exhibition at Riga in 1944.

Memorial exhibition 1964 – Kazan, Russia; 1970, 1985 – Kraslava, Latvia; 1986 – Dagda, Latvia;

1946 – 1950 – member of Artists`Union, restored at 1964.

Artist painted in all genres with oil and watercolor.

He was an excellent master of portraits, at the end of 1950 painted Latvian cultural peoples – L.Vigners, M. Kempe, A. Zilinskis and E. Smilgis.
