Dailis Rozlapa (1932-2014) - painter, theatrical designer, makeup artist, stage designer, films artist.

1954 - Graduated from the Art School of  Riga named by J. Rosenthal.

1968 - Graduated Arts Academy of Latvian State, department of history and theory of art.

Participated in exhibitions since 1958.

He created scenery and was stage designer for many famous performances in different theaters - in Riga, Valmiera, Liepaja, Klaipeda, Siauliai, Panevezys. He worked as an artist in the 18 films in studios of Riga ("Vella kalpi vella dzirnavās", "Pūt, vējiņi!", "Melnā vēža spīlēs", "Īsa pamācība mīlēšanā", "Aija" and other). He lives In Jurmala since 1970. In the 1977th - in Jurmala was formed group of artists, where he was its first chairman. He was an active member of Jurmalas` artists group and he participated in numerous exhibitions and has organized exhibitions in Jurmala.

In 1983 he was awarded as Honored Art Worker of the Latvian SSR.

1974 – at 7-Union Film Festival for the film "Blow wind" ( "Pūt vējiņi") awarded the prize for the best adaptation of a classic.

Honorary diplomas of Supreme Council Presidium of Latvian SSR - 1967, 1970, 1978.

1979 - at DVX USSR exhibition got bronze medal for the sketches for the film "Blow wind" ( "Pūt vējiņi")
