Karlis Rozens (1864 – 1934)

Karlis Rozens studied in Landscape class of St Petersburg Academy of art, his teachers were F. Burov, I. Shishkin and J. Klever. Artist took part in exhibitions of academy (1906, 1908, 1912, 1914).

In 1918 K. Rozens returned to Latvia.

In 1927 in club of officers (Riga) was organized his self-exhibition.
In 1937 his widow organized memorial exhibition in Jelgava.

Artist was typical representative of old landscape school.

Many of his works are placed in Denmark, Sweden, UK, Holland, France, Latvia and Russia.
