Nikolai Nikolajevic Obolenskij / Николай Николаевич Оболенский (1838-1899) - Russian landscape painter.
A descendant of Prince Ivan Mikhailovich Obolensky (1704-1776). Officer of the cavalry, eventually - the chief of the railway service. He began his artistic career as an illustrator and drawer. Participated in art exhibitions. In the 1890s he collaborated with J. Klever, worked in his studio and was considered as one of the most talented. Many of his works came out with the signature of J. Klever, although it happened, due to the high employment. Only one or two strokes could be applied on the finished painting. The works are in many museums and private collections in Russia and Ukraine.
