Peteris Kundzinsh (1886.18.IX – 1958.25.VI) - painter, stage-designer.

Peteris Kundzins studied in Stiglic Central drawing school in Petersburg (1906 – 12) and graduated class of theatre stage design painting.

He took part in exhibitions since 1913.
Artist exhibited his paintings in exhibitions of “Balta varna” in Valmiera (1919).
Memorial exhibitions were made in Riga (1986, 1990, together with daughter Ieva Kundzina and granddaughter Anna Romanovska).

P. Kundzins was a member of Independent artists unit (1923 – 40).
He also was a member of Artists Union (since 1946).

In 1905 – 1938 artist worked as a teacher in different cities in Russia and Latvia (Valmiera, Rujiena, Daugavpils, Riga etc.).

He made stage design in Riga New theatre and National Opera.
