Einar Johansen (1893-1965)

The artist was influenced by his teacher Julius Paulsen in his early choice of motives. He painted interiors a lot. Later, he painted mostly landscapes and scenic evening motifs. A large number of his works have been exhibited in Charlottenborg for 30 years. He confidently mastered the technique of watercolor. Often painted winter landscapes with trees under a gray sky.
