Induss Janis (1907.26. 08. Valka’s distr. Lugazi - ?) - Painter

1933. – Graduated Art Academy of Latvia, master class of V. Purvitis with diploma work “Sailboats”.

Artist worked as an art teacher at the Daugavpil’s technical college and other schools.

1929 – Took part at the exhibitions organized by Latvian Cultural Foundation.

1935 – 1937. – Traveling to the Western Europe art centers.

1944 – Emigration to Sweden and tooking part to the exile artists exhibitions.

Solo exhibitions:

Uppsala, Stockholm, Malm.

He painted mainly landscapes and still life at the realistic impressionistic manner.
