Peteris Kalve (1882.1.III – 1913.11.II Latvia) - painter.

          His first teacher in art was brother Karlis Kalve. 1899 – 1902 Kalve studied at V. Bluma art school in Riga, attended V. Purvitis studio. 1902 – 1904 he attended a private studio of J. Klevers, where he copied works of his teacher. Last he attended a portrait painting class to L. Korints and landscape to V. Lestikovs in Berlin and museum of Petersburg, where he copied old masterpieces.
          Klevers took part in exhibitions still 1904.
          At 1913 Latvians Art favoring organization organizes his memorial exhibition (Jekabpils 1982, with K. Kalve), Riga 1982.
          He was a landscape master, different in style and at earliest works was saw influences of V. Purvitis and K. Kalves. Still 1906 – 1907 his painting manner was most impression.
